the action of forming or process of being formed
How beautiful to think of yoga and spoken word as things that form us, shape who we are. We step onto our mats to step inside ourselves, to allow awareness and acceptance to reside within us. Allowing our breath, emotions, sweat to form and inform us, to release, renew, inspire and empower us. Stepping onto our mats is an action of forming ourselves. From the postures we form to the emotions and energy we release and regain.
Writing, spoken word, poetry is an act of forming. Our lives take shape through our words. We shape who we have been, who we want to be and where we want to go. We are building with every word.
We heal, transform, grow and shift through yoga and writing. We get real and we get deep. We build connection, community, strength and courage. We laugh and we cry. We allow ourselves to be. It IS the formation of ourselves.
This hour of yoga and poetry will sure to be full of empowerment, inspiration and probably some foul language. Let’s keep it real.
So, come get on your mat, meet some new people, listen to some powerful words and allow yourself to FORM!! I want to see and share space with you and give you a hug!
